Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of capturing senior portraits for Kirsten. These images were taken in beautiful downtown McKinney, TX. Kirsten was a happy young lady and was eager to show her personality in her images. I wanted to share a few images and a bio of Kirsten. Enjoy! Kirsten Grounds is a senior at Lawton High School in Lawton, OK. Born in Denison, TX, Kirsten and her family moved to Oklahoma when she was five years old, where like most little girls she dreamed of being a princess. Fast forward 13 years and if you ask her, she's still a princess heart, but with bigger dreams and aspirations. Kirsten is a focused and disciplined young lady. When she graduates high school, she will have a certificate as a medical insurance coder. Kirsten plans to study medicine and music in college. Her goal is to become a pediatrician. Additionally she would love to continue her passion for music by offering private instruction. Kirsten is an awarded flute player in the Lawton High School band and this year she holds the distinguished title of Captain. When not playing the flute, she enjoys playing her guitars. Kirsten loves her family and is part of a large blended one. Her mother and step-father Stacy and Josh live in Celina, TX. She currently lives with her father, Anthony Hernandez and sister Marisa in Lawton.

Senior 2012 - Patrick G. Small, Jr.

A few months ago I had the pleasure of shooting senior images of Patrick Small, Jr. and today I wanted to take a moment to share images of Patrick and a little bit about him and his future.

He was born in Fort Worth, TX. He is the son of Cassandra Paul and Patrick G Small Sr. He lives with his mother (Cassandra) and stepfather; Eric Paul. He has four siblings: Tranisha 21, Adrianna 7, Houston 17 and Madeleine 12.

During his high school career Patrick attended both Everman High and Crossroad Academy. Patrick, a former football player for Everman High school, enjoyed the privilege of playing and hopes to fulfill his heart’s desire in the near future at the University of North Texas.

His greatest aspiration is to one day play professionally in the NFL. Coupled with this dream he also wishes to mentor young athletes by giving back to the community and teaching them how to obtain discipline, character, and respect. Patrick believes and desires to make a difference in the lives of the next generation.

His hobbies are gaming and football (true passion is football).

Patrick is also family oriented (loves family)… and is a true daddy’s boy.
Cassandra stated, “Patrick used to get excited about taking pictures but for some reason he gave us a hard time that day. After it was all said and done he loved the images.”

I really enjoyed spending time with Patrick and his family. The shoot took place in downtown Fort Worth and the surrounding areas.

This Holiday Season the Glasco's share the importance of family!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting and capturing holiday images of the Glasco family from Denton, TX. I’d like to share this experience with you:

Gena and Tony have been married for 9 years and are born and bred Texans.

The core belief of this family is that every child deserves a loving family and home and this is evident in how the Glasco’s have chose to share their lives. The Glasco’s love the time speny as a family and are very family oriented. Tony & Gena both come from very humble backgrounds where things were not always easy for their parents to provide for them. But with hard work and God directing their paths they have overcome many of life's challenges. They truly know what it means to live in want, but despite it seemingly they have always lived that way they feel and always have lived in plenty.

Their family unit consists of three beautiful children. Corbin who is 4 and the twins (Kindal and Kambel) are 2. All three of their kiddos were adopted through the Texas CPS system and have been with Gena and Tony since they were infants.

Adoption and foster care are near and dear their hearts. Over the past 5 years they have fostered seven children and adopted 3. Their extended family has also embraced adoption and foster care. Gena’s brother has adopted 2 children, her cousin has adopted 3 children and another cousin has adopted one child.

They love the Lord and try their best to serve Him by taking care of His people.

It's Time for Senior 2012 Portrait Sessions!

Capturing senior portraits is one of my favorite sessions to shoot. It is a time when you get to see young adults about to begin the next step of their lives and move from the teen years into adulthood. I treat each session differently and tailor it to meet the clients individual personalities. No 2 senior session are alike.

Here is an image of Alyssa. This is my second opportunity to capture images of her. The first time was a little bit over 2 years ago when she turned 15 and I shoot her Quince portraits and celebration. Now she is nearing the end of her high school days and has flourished into a smart, strong, and beautiful young lady.

Thanks Christina and Alyssa for continuing to trust me as you family photographer.

Baby Eva Baptism

I had the pleasure of capturing images for Baby Eva for a third time about a week ago. The first time was in the womb when I captured her mother’s maternity images (see below). The second shoot was her 10 day old pictures were the angel taught me a thing or two about newborns and their love of flash photography after nine months in the dark.

This time she was wide-eyed and bushy tailed for her 4-month old baptism pictures. We took the pictures on the lawn on the Heard-Craig House in historic Downtown McKinney, TX.

She was dressed in her white baptism best and was eager to show me how she had grown.
Please join me in congratulating Eva on her upcoming baptism.

Enjoy the images and as always your comments are welcomed.

Boudoir

Today I will share more images I have taken to highlight the range of my photography. These images were captured this past April here in the Dallas metroplex. The model is a bride I’ve worked with twice in the past (engagement and bridal photos). She was also gracious enough to allow me to post these in public (Thank You Christine)! These shoots are fun, exciting, and also nerve racking. I think she did a great job with her natural beauty and poise. I hope that you can appreciate the beauty on these images.

Below is her comment about the session:

“I was a little nervous prior to my boudoir shoot with Kevin, but he completely put me at ease with his professionalism and humor. Kevin was very relaxed during the shoot and brought tons of items to give the room a studio feel which made the pictures look even more amazing!”
